About us

McGill Learning Center is a ministry of McGill Baptist Church. The preschool started May 1, 1970, at McGill Avenue Baptist Church to meet the growing childcare needs of the community.  The preschool moved to this location in 1997 and the church followed a few years later.  Since opening, it has modified the name from McGill Avenue Day Care to McGill Child Development Center to our newly refreshed name, McGill Learning Center.  We serve children ages 6 weeks through five years old and their families.

At McGill Learning Center, we are committed to nurturing the physical, social, cognitive, emotional and spiritual development of our children with a program grounded in excellence.  Children learn about God’s love and Biblical truths through Bible stories, music and activities throughout their time at MLC.

Our tagline, “A nurturing place to grow,” describes our approach to early childhood education.  We are committed to be nurturing in all things, to guide and discipline gently and to build a child’s confidence and self-esteem so that they are ready to tackle the world as they head off to kindergarten.  As a child’s first educational experience, we are laying the groundwork to set them up for success in their lifelong educational journey.  We are expanding perspectives and unleashing potential in every child we serve.
